Good news everyone! The deadline for the third year of our investment support programme has been extended until Sunday 7th May 2017.


More local social ventures to benefit as south west investment programme continues

Seedbed, the government-funded Social Accelerator, has extended its popular investment support programme for a third year after receiving the go-ahead from the Cabinet Office and Big Lottery Fund for 2017.


South West Social Ventures Celebrate Growth Following Investment Programme

A major investment fund has helped three South West based social ventures to realise their next steps and grow their businesses through a specially created investment and loan programme.

The Seedbed Accelerator Programme, a £1.2 million investment programme launched in April 2015, has helped social ventures Eat That Frog CIC, Grow Bristol and Unique Voices CIC to expand their business through a range of measures including increased support, added services and new products.


Seedbed’s Growth Stage still open to social ventures

Great news – we’re still able to accept social ventures, who need affordable loan finance for their development, onto our Growth Stage. Joining Seedbed is a great opportunity to grow your social venture. Our Loan Fund and bespoke support programme provide you with the knowledge, expertise and resources you need to turn your idea, product or service into a success.


Deadline extended until Monday 9 May for Growth Stage

So far, we’ve had a great response to our Seedbed programme with some fantastic applications from social ventures. Joining the Growth Stage of the Seedbed programme is a wonderful opportunity to support the growth of your venture and one we’d like to offer to as many of you as possible.

Some applicants ventures have mentioned that they need a little more time to get their application together. So, we’re extending our deadline to 5pm on Monday 9 May to give those wishing to apply to the Growth Stage of Seedbed more time to complete their application.



A major investment fund which has helped dozens of South West social ventures to grow and flourish has celebrated its first anniversary with a special reception in the region.

The £1.2 million Seedbed accelerator programme has already supported 30 social ventures, with many more about to benefit from its exciting opportunities in 2016.

We’ve had some great applications in so far for the second year of our Seedbed Accelerator programme.

After speaking directly with a number of social ventures, many mentioned that they were running out of time or due to resource issues could not gather the information needed to complete the application before the deadline.

So, to help social ventures submit their application, we’re extending our deadline until midnight on Thursday 4th February.


Major investment fund returns to support more South West social ventures

After a successful first year helping South West social ventures to grow and flourish, applications have now opened for an exciting new programme of Seedbed investment & support for 2016.

Now in its second year, the £1.2 million Seedbed accelerator programme is looking to recruit 25 ambitious social ventures from the region by the end of January.

As we’ve started recruiting for our 2016 programme, we are hosting a number of taster events around the South West.

This will give you the opportunity to find out more about the programme, talk to members of the team and to find out how you can benefit.


Seedbed Accelerator to start recruiting for second stage of programme

With the first stage of their finance and support programme successfully completed, the Seedbed Programme is now looking to recruit social ventures to join them for the exciting second and third stage of the programme.

Social ventures are invited to join existing ventures for the Development and Growth Stages, starting in September 2015 and finishing in January 2016. Social ventures will have access to cutting-edge support to help them grow and become stronger and more sustainable. The development programme will provide access to social finance loans of up to £50,000 as well as workshops and business coaching and a £1,000 cash voucher to all participants.
